Brown Fused Alumina Micropowder Applications
Brown fused alumina (BFA) micropowder features high toughness, Mohs hardness 8.5–9, stable chemical performance and free of free silica. the main applications as follows:
1. Precision Grinding & Polishing
–Metal Processing
- Deburring, fine grinding and mirror polishing for stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, hardware stampings, cutting tools, precision shafts, valve parts, 3C metal frames and mobile phone casings.
- Used to produce polishing paste, polishing liquid and grinding suspension for mass wet polishing of medical cutting tools and precision mechanical parts; low-iron grades avoid rust spots on workpieces.
–Non-metallic Finishing
Fine grinding and scratch removal for glass, ceramic tile, sanitary ware, jade, stone and carbon fiber composites.
–Electronics & Photovoltaics
- PCB surface roughening, rough grinding of silicon wafers and SiC substrates; deburring lithium battery aluminum shells and electrode sheets.
- Ultra-fine finishing for optical lenses and ceramic electronic packaging components to achieve low surface roughness.
2. Blasting & Surface Pretreatment
Free of hazardous free silica, suitable for dry and wet blasting:
